The Centre for Renewable Energy has various strategic partners both on a national and international level. This, of course, comes in addition to the owners and the industry partners in the board.

EUREC - The European Renewable Energy Research Centres Agency was established as a European Economic Interest Grouping in 1991 to strengthen and rationalise the European research, demonstration and development efforts in all renewable energy technologies. As an independent member-based association, it incorporates 43 prominent research groups from all over Europe.

Enova - A state organisation working for energy savings and increased production of environment-friendly energy.

Gas technology centre - GTC (NTNU-SINTEF) works on development of technology related to natural gas, CCS and hydrogen.

The Research Council of Norway works to strengthen research activities in Norway and promote international cooperation.

INORE is a tool for young researchers within offshore renewable energy to enhance the development of offshore renewable energy. INORE create the opportunity for early stage researchers with the same overall objectives to meet each other, regardless of different background and nationality.

Innovation Norway - works to strengthen the innovation in the industry and help new establishments.

Runde Environmental Centre - develops a regional centre for competence on offshore renewable energy and has a test station for wave power.

Scan-REF - The main objective of Scan-REF is to create a world leading meeting place for executives in the renewable industry, based on a Scandinavian market platform.

OREEC - Oslo Renewable Energy and Environment Cluster.
