Development of a sustainable energy production and use is a challenge for the Norwegian society. The research group "Energy and Society" will contribute to strengthening our foundation of knowledge in order to obtain a more environmentally friendly energy regime both in Norway and at an international level. This can be achieved by analyzing the social and cultural dimensions of energy use in private residence and office buildings, and political and economical conditions for the development of a more environmentally friendly energy production.
