Organization

The Centre was established in 2004 as a joint initiative by NTNU and SINTEF. In december 2005, IFE became an equivalent partner, and in 2011 UiO’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences joined the SFFE as fourth co-owner.

In SINTEF and IFE, SFFE is placed under the Management. At NTNU there are six strategic areas. SFFE is a centre under the strategic area Energy and Petroleum – Resources and Environment.

The operation of the centre is carried out by the coordinatior in cooperation with the management group. The management group consists of 12 representatives of NTNU, IFE, SINTEF and UiO who are chosen by The Board.
