Ocean energy

The ocean has to all times been a great resource for the humanity. In addition to the huge food resources, energy can also be harvested from the sea. This has attracted increased attention over the last years, and is today one of the most important research fields in Norway.

Renewable energy from the ocean includes:

Offshore wind energy
Tidal energy
Osmotic power
Bioenergy from algae
