Independent Basic Research Projects – Mathematics, Physical Science and Technology (MAROFF): FRINATEK is part of the funding scheme for independent basic research projects (FRIPRO), which comprises a national competitive arena in which scientific merit is the decisive criterion for determining which projects will be awarded funding. Grant proposals for independent projects in the field of renewable energy and carbon capture and storage (CCS) research (formerly under FRIENERGI) must now be submitted to FRINATEK. Innovation Programme for Maritime Activities and Offshore Operations (MAROFF): MAROFF will help realize the Government’s maritime strategy for the promotion of innovation and environmental value creation in the maritime industries. (Deadline: open-ended)

Intelligent Freight Transport (SMARTRANS): The primary objectives of the SMARTRANS programme is to develop more efficient and sustainable transport solutions and transport industry. SMARTRANS promotes projects that generate expertise and solutions to address the overall transport needs from door to door, evaluate alternative transport modes, including multimodal options, as well as to contribute to improving the environment.
